Technology transfer is a process of transferring knowledge and research results from laboratories to the commercial world. The CULS Centre for Innovation and Technology Transfer raises awareness of the subject, informs about possibilities of commercialization, or searches for and records potentially usable research and development results, which it offers evaluate their inventions, help in finding a suitable commercial partner and provide intellectual property protection services.
The Centre for Innovation and Technology Transfer offers companies various ways to cooperate with the university. The goal of these efforts is to connect the right people, or research teams from universities, with their counterparts from industry. These may consist of joint scientific research projects, the use or sale of CULS patents and licenses, an offer of measuring and testing equipment and laboratory capacities of the university, or establishment of joint spin-off companies.
